Centred Counsellor, I work in a non judgemental way, in a relaxed safe space where you can explore the right way for yourself to move forward with your life.
Person centred counselling is rooted in the humanistic philosophy that each person has the ability to move in the direction of a more fulfilling and satisfying way of being and living their lives. It is based on a trust in the inner resources of the client to find their own answers and direction.
Person centred counselling is not about giving advice or offering solutions to problems but helping you to explore your feelings, understand your needs and find ways of meeting those needs. It creates a space where you can feel valued, cared for and accepted as a person.
A person centred counsellor offers a safe, confidential, supportive and non-judgemental environment for you to explore your problems and make decisions in your own time. The aim of counselling is to give you the opportunity to explore your concerns and feelings, discover what might be the underlying causes and to clarify ways of living more effectively and to move towards a greater sense of well-being.
Life can be like a roller-coaster and most of us will struggle at times in some area of our life. Our past experiences can shape the way we respond to current situations leading to problems such as anxiety, stress, depression, anger issues, low self esteem, loneliness and relationship problems . Counselling provides a space in which to explore these and other issues, enabling you to acknowledge the impact of events, either current or past, recognise the emotions that these have caused and consequently understand any response. With my support, you can become empowered to reach your own solutions in life.
